Tim McFarland
Owner/Operator
Photographer/Videographer/Editor/Shoot Director
Photographer/Videographer Tim McFarland has been behind the camera since he was young. While in high school, his video and editing knowledge landed him the position of chief videographer/editor of the Cheyenne Central High School media department, as well as an internship at KGWN NewsChannel 5 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. At KGWN, he was influenced by photojournalist Kevin Koile, producer Ben Nandy, and the late Brandon Schantz.
He has been a staff writer/news photographer for various newspapers in Wyoming, as well as a week’s assignment in Paso Robles, California. He has been contracted to film many theatrical and musical events, and has been recognized in several award-winning publications and productions.
Tim was an Independent Contractor for Foothills Moving Pictures in Torrington where he served as videographer, photographer, and tech until the business' closing in 2012 when he opened The Star Photo and Video. In an effort to expand his business, The Star Photo and Video became McFarland Media, LLC in the Spring of 2021. He has also taken extensive courses in theatre technology (lighting) at the University of Wyoming, and is well versed in audio engineering.
Tim is the Technical Director at Lifeway Church in Torrington.
